What makes a good photo?

Photography is therapeutic to me. It's an activity that you can do alone which I usually do. I love everything about it- shooting, editing, and staring at it for hours. There are so many details in a photo that allow me to relive the moment — the place, the breeze, and the mood. As if the scene is imprinted on my mind. It’s a visual diary.

I have always interested in the arts growing up. I first picked up photography when I was in uni. I shot with Nikon FM2 from school. It’s black and white film and we got to develop and process the film in a dark room. The first couple years were experimental. A lot of trial and errors. Technically speaking, I learned all the basics about the camera settings i.e. aperture, shutter, ISO, focal length, etc. Getting the right exposure and focus. Is it photography? There has to be more.
